Hi

I am 24 weeks pregnant on Monday and so far have been keeping well apart from terrible heartburn along with every morning when I wake up I have a terrible headache and feel groggy a bit like a hangover! (without the wine!)

Also when I get up my bump aches and twinges but then as the morning goes on I start to feel human again, anyone else like this?

YES!

24+6 and after the 11teenhundreed pees I need on a night, plus the 2-3 doses of Gaviscon I feel absolutely exhausted every morning when the alarm goes off. That said, getting up time is 5.30 which would be a struggle for any normal human being Grin

I've only had the sore head thing once or twice, but I'm fanatical about being well hydrated (hence all the peeing) because I'm prone to urine and kidney infections. Maybe try and increase your fluid if you're getting less than 2 litres a day?

I also cant stand anything constricting my bump - but this lasts through the day for me. I put it down to the skin being stretched and slightly sensitive.

So, fingers crossed we're normal!

Ha ha I am not alone Impatience!

I am constantly going to the toilet too! After reading your post perhaps I should up the water intake a bit more might help with the headaches.

My bump is ok but agree I am alot more comfortable at the moment where I am able to wear a dress with bare legs and no tights or leggings!

So you are due around the same time as me (I am 5/10) have you started getting alot of stuff? (I am having a boy :) )

I'd mention the headache to your midwife. It's probably dehydration but she needs to know about it because it can be to do with blood pressure...

I think you might need to drink more water. When I am pregnant I need a bottle of water next to my bed and I wake up in the night and have a drink. I didn't do this one night (was camping and wanted to avoid the middle of the night wees) and I felt hungover the next morning.

Due the 26th September and I'm having a boy too! Seems to be a year of boys, my friends just a few days behind me and it's also a wee winky!

Had a really good long sleep last night and STILL shattered.... It's mad!

I'm having my 2nd boy and I have also had a girl. I definitely find that, for me at least, my boy pregnancies were much more exhausting and draining than my girl. I craved more salty food as well, which made me more thirsty. I could go back to bed within half an hour of waking, and I ache with fatigue most of the time. I do try to drink more in the mornings to get my fluids up so I'm not seeing all night!
