Heavy bleeding at 13 weeks

I can't believe I'm posting this... I had a scan on Tuesday which showed all was fine and I was 13 weeks instead of 12.

This morning I went to the loo, all fine, drove to an unrelated hospital appointment, went to the loo there (30 minutes after previous visit) and found I was bleeding heavily (through my clothes etc) with clots. No pain, I had no clue.
Bleeding has eased off now but I'm still passing clots.

I have a scan this afternoon to see what's happening. I've already had 3 1st trimester miscarriages, a late 2nd trimester miscarriage, so I'm not holding out much hope for this one.

I can't believe this is happening again, I've been on huge amounts of drugs to protect this pregnancy (under specialist recurrent pregnancy clinic) and still this.

Oh curtains so sorry this is happening !! I'm sure you've heard it all before but the bleeding could be unrelated. There are lots of cases on here where heavy bleeding happens and a healthy pregnancy continues !! Fingers crossed for you xxx

Thanks Adventure. At least I'll know one way or another this afternoon.

Thinking of you !! I had my first mmc in first pregnancy earlier this year. Should have been 12 weeks but scan showed heart stopped around 9 weeks. I can't even begin to imagine the heartbreak you must have been through and you sound incredibley strong !!

Thinking of you, I hope the scan showed good news. Flowers

Keeping everything crossed for you!

fakenamefornow · 11/06/2015 16:41

Fingers crossed.

I had very heavy bleeding at 13 weeks with no pain, all turned out fine for me. Although nothing notable was seen on the 12 week scan the mw suggested it might have been a twin (chemical pregnancy?) that didn't implant or develop. My baby was born fit and health at full term, really hoping for the same outcome for you.

MummyPiggy87 · 11/06/2015 16:59

I really really hope your scan went okay.xx

Itscurtainsforyou · 11/06/2015 17:21

Thank you all!
I passed a clot the size of a 10p before my scan so was expecting the worst, but amazingly baby looks fine Smile

No indication of where bleeding is coming from or why (& still not stopped) but keeping fingers crossed for now...
