I'm just wondering if anyone has applied for one and gotten it?

I am pregnant with my first baby and I get income support and think I am eligible.

You are for a first baby.

Although things change that much I wouldn't know if it still exists.

I didn't think you got income support without kids though. Shows things have changed if that's the case now.

We got one about 18 months ago. It was £500. You only get it for the first child unless you have twins the second time and then you get £250.

Yeah you can get income support if you're pregnant.

I assume you're happy with your answers? Must be a bit of a relief, it was a 100 quid back in the day.

newmama91 · 11/06/2015 21:43

Yes thanks and I hope it still does exist because I'm not going to be supported so it would be a big help

I don't think you can bang it in without your mat1 form from the midwife in the third trimester. But I don't know if it's the same way these days.

I know my next door neighbour got it for her second child about four months ago, don't know how though.
