Wetting yourself at work!

Just another normal Wed when walking down corridor at work (thankfully deserted) I coughed and suddenly a trickle of wee down my leg.
Hotfooted it to bathroom and cleaned self up then faced choice of sitting in meeting with no knickers or wet knickers. Went for wet ones with period pad in (have stash in my office from days gone by) and just hoped the damp knickers hadn't begun to smell. Now heading home early. Bring pregnant sucks...

it does, this is the third pregnancy and I've had it was all three. just been out to buy tena lady as always weren't cutting it and after a couple of hours I really like them. hid them under some other shopping as I'm only 34 and didn't want funny looks. also used self checkout. lol

get some tena

I do not leave the house without a panty liner in, and have since learned to do my pelvic floor excercises several times a day.

It hasn't stopped all leakages, but has helped!

I am 29 and have to use tena. Blush. Prior to pregnancy 'leakage' was probably caused by endometriosis irritating my bladder/urethra because once I fell pregnant I had a few weeks or normality (no leaking) until the baby got big and started using my bladder as a punch bag.

I get the always version of tena or tena lights depending on what is on offer or cheapest. They come in packs just like sanitary towels and aren't like nappies.

Also.... do your kegels lol!

What are kegals?

lauraa4 · 10/06/2015 17:53

If it helps I had a swift kick to the bladder about 5 minutes ago at work and literally thought a bit of wee came out!!

RockerMummy184 · 10/06/2015 20:13

I have had stress incontinence since I was 14. Got much worse after having DS. Now I'm pg with twins and I literally cannot control anything any more! I'm 26 and have to use tena all day every day. :-(

I have been for physiotherapy which I know has helped other people I know. They explain how to do pelvic floor exercises properly (a surprising amount of people do them wrong so they have no benefit) and they can prescribe certain 'tools' to help. Might be worth speaking to your GP once little one arrives if this hasn't gone back to normal.

tree kegals are pelvic floor exercises
