Was dreading this day but it's come! Feet are really starting to become painful when walking/standing while doing general day to day activities. In summer I normally wear my lovely fancy (but hard, flat soled) sandals. I have trainers but they're proper gym type ones and wouldn't look nice with say a day dress or something fancier. Also have a pair of Converse but don't find these comfortable at all. Has anyone got any recommendations for anything? Heard Skechers are good and also Superga?

Bit of a fashion faux pas but crocs are amazing if you have sore feet and you don't have to get the cloggy ones either - there are sling backs which are slightly less terrible. I have been wearing them and now my feet are getting really swollen I am onto the flipflops. Birkenstocks are also pretty comfy but are pretty ugly too... I think maybe I am just pregnant enough not to care now! Good luck! Smile

I've been wearing foam type flip flops. Probably not the best of support or great for the feet but they are soooooo comfy and you can just throw them off as and when you want xx

Two strap birkinstocks. Like walking on cushions and a bit trendy too. There great because you can adjust the straps as your feet swell. They saved my sanity last summer when I was pregnant with dc4. I'm still wearing them now :)

Birkenstocks have been a life saver for me. I have been quite surprised at how many people have commented how good they look too!

I am living in a pair of black sketchers go walks.... They are getting a little stinky but the odd day off wearing them and some odoureater sorts that out

Merrell do good trainer-y type shoes that look a bit smarter. Birkenstocks give me terrible blisters.

I'm seconding the Crocs that don't look like Crocs. I do have the slingback that hippymama mentioned but I also have Crocs scrappy sandals, available here, for example: www.cloggs.co.uk/invt/98948396?_$ja=cgid:9988465309~tsid:69445~cid:190650829~lid:78097806349~nw:g~crid:42443493109~rnd:13828035985804611923~dvc:c~adp:1o4~bku:1&gclid=Cj0KEQjw18-rBRDogrTg4Lusuu0BEiQACs8YQjO-M7-t2f3riCORuRKPneehtY5F9yJq_cu4cuZ24iQaAjtR8P8HAQ
Couldn't believe they were Crocs - I would have NEVER bought Crocs before! I'm also using the ballet pump Converse, but you might still not find them comfy.

Flip flops, the rubber kind like Haviana's. I lived in them during the summer months of my first pregnancy. They seem to absorb the shock and are much more comfy than my hard, leather soled sandals.

LAM1 · 07/06/2015 21:03

Crocs flip flops are the comfiest I have ever owned. Just bought a pair of toms and they are so comfy!!

JasonsBum · 07/06/2015 21:05

Yes. Crocs flip flops definitely. Squishy sole. Comfy. Has to be them.

Blueblink · 08/06/2015 13:52

Fit Flops are AMAZING! They sell them on the cloggs website and often have good deals or discounts (I just bought myself a new pair this morning! www.cloggs.co.uk/icat/brdfitflop?_$ja=cgid:4579593349~tsid:69445~cid:111525589~lid:4713535434~nw:g~crid:42773822509~rnd:16417463055862616368~dvc:c~adp:1t3&gclid=CIS31seRgMYCFQYewwodGKwAyA
