Hi, am 36wks pg, has been suggested that using a massager during labour helps. Can anyone suggest the make of a safe one to use? someone suggested infra-ed is helpful.

I used TENS machine and can't recommend it highly enough, it really really worked and helped so much with the pain. Worth a try at least, they're not expensive to hire... best of luck!

oscar...someone else can massage you! no point , IMHO, paying out for something that someone can do for you for free. and you will be a bit cross if you buy one and then don;t use it or don;t want to be touched in labour! can buy little massagers from the body shop which are cheap and cheerful.....!

TENS is a much better investment in terms of pain relief and can be used at home and hospital..

just don;t jump in the bath or birth pool with it on!!
