Round Ligament Pain

Hiya I am 17+3 and have just started experiencing sharp, period like pains around my lower abdomen. They occur in waves but happen throughout the day.
I read this could be 'round ligament pain' where everything is stretching out.

Did/has anyone else had this? Does it go away? Should I be worried? Got routine anomaly scan in just over 2 weeks.

I'm 17+4 and had something very similar today although mine felt kind of more like a stitch. It was in the same place you describe though.

After lots of googling I'm pretty certain it is round ligament pain and it's gone now. Hopefully it'll pass for you soon

If you are worried contact your midwife but yes it does sound like round ligament pain. I had it with my first around the time as you are now. But mine got worse that I couldn't dress myself. My doctor signed me off work for the rest of the pregnancy but couple days later I felt great! But I did not return back to work as it was a very stressful job:.

Congrats. Hopefully it is just ligament pain.

I'm 17+1 and just woke up with the same pains and panicked! Pleased to see its normal x
