Birthing balls

I'm just wondering if anyone has bought one?

A couple of questions, which size did you use for your height? I'm 5"5 so unsure whether to go for 55cm or 65cm.

Also did you buy a proper birth ball or an exercise ball?

I'm the same height as you and had a 65cm which was recommended. It was just an ordinary exercise ball from Argos. I would highly recommend one, it really helped me stay comfortable during three days of early labour...

I got one from Amazon, a proper birth ball (which came with exercises to do on it), 65cm for 5'7", and it's great. Speaking to a women's physio about them, she said she highly recommends them as they are really useful not just in labour! Even my DH likes it! ;-)
