morning all,
i'm new on here and have a quick question about my weekly progress. i'm doing fine all in all, wanted to find out the sex of our little one at my 20 week scan, but the baby had it's legs crossed so they couldn't tell, but had a private scan last weekend and we are having a little girl, we are over the moon, but this week i'm having pains at the sides of my bump and lower down, is this normal or is it something i should visit my GP about, feels like cramping or period pains but not as bad as that, just a dull ache, having to be careful when standing up etc as i get shooting pains in the same place, is that just my womb/cervix stretching do you think?? any help would be great and i've been reading on this site from the day i found out i was pregnant and you are all so supportive of each other it's great to see :-)
thanks again xx

It could just be Braxton Hicks contractions, if you Google them you can get some info, they're nothing to worry about.

If you think it's more than Braxton Hicks then I'd definitely check with gp / midwife, just to put your mind at rest Smile
