Giant muslin cloths 1m x 1m. Use them
For everything - over pram to shade baby... As a light cover for baby, under weaning sitting baby to collect crumbs, under highchair in pub. They were our best gift.

Cloth nappies... second hand if you can bear it... You wash them well so they will be clean for your baby. Seriously have a good look into these before the baby comes. We wash a load 2-3times a week (you need about 18-20 nappies to do this) we have never had a nappy leak. We've saved a fortune and kept a load of horrid waste from landfill.

Bouncy baby chair - get a second hand one - really useful from about 2-3weeks old... Preferably one with a vibrate function.

Thanks clearly I have all the big stuff, and clothing, muslin etc.

I really meant what brand/type of day to day stuff is good and reasonably priced.

Nipple cream - lanisoh
Nappy cream - sudocrem (but I know a lot on here swear by metanium)
Nappies and wipes - Aldi mamia
Breast pads - I didn't like any of the disposables, much preferred washables. I really liked breast shells for collecting milk when my supply first got going too

Nipple cream - lansinoh
Breast pads - lansinoh
Nappy cream - sudocrem & desitin

Agree with dorothy, washable bamboo breast pads are lovely! I got them on amazon, they are really soft and feel luxurious, instead of like putting a sanitary towel down your bra. I stopped bf-ing at two months and now use them to take my make up off and as a flannel for ds!

Nappy cream - weleda nappy cream works miracles
Nipple cream - let a few drops of breastmilk dry on them. Helped me more than any creams.
Nappies - pampers to start then aldi
Wipes - huggies pure
Pads - nab loads of the maternity mattress ones from hospital! Then use non scented thick ones, most own brands are fine

Nipple cream - Lansinoh

Nappies - Pampers best for newborns ime, then sainsbury own which are great

Wipes - Sainsbury own brand unscented

Breast pads - I used Sainsbury own brand for two years! But will look into reusable ones if they are good too
