Chest infection. Remedy?

I think I have a chest infection. Either that or bronchitis. I know I probably need antibiotics, but I can't get to the doctor until Tuesday? Is there anything I can do/take? This is made worse by the fact that hayfever and sinusitis are driving me mad too??

I had a chest infection recently (luckily not bad enough for antibiotics) and the Dr okayed paracetamol but not a lot else unfortunately (not even throat lozenges!)

Would nose strips make it easier to breathe at all if you're also having trouble with sinuses? Apart from that just lots of fluids - hot water, hot blackcurrant etc and a little walk around as often as you can to open up your chest a bit and make it a little easier to breathe. I also sucked on mints in place of medicated lozenges and was advised to put Vicks on the bottom of my feet (although I didn't actually try that one!)

Hope you're feeling better soon Flowers

Hot water with lemon and honey. Lots of it! Breathe over steaming bowl of hot water. You can also put some Vicks in it (water shouldn't be boiling hot though). Drink a lot of fluids.

Thanks for the tips. I actually went to the doctor yesterday evening because I couldn't stand it any more and he put me on antibiotics, but I'm not feeling any improvement yet. I'm finding it so hard to breathe. Worried that this will effect the baby.

They will not help straightaway. This will not affect the baby.

Feet up and get some rest, I hope you feel better soon Flowers
