As the title would suggest, I was informed at my 20 week scan that I have one. I had a cone biopsy 15 years ago which explains it and my consultant is not overly worried but has put me on cyclogest for now. Anyone else experienced this? Any problems at all?

Yes, I was on 400mg of cyclogest three times a day from 24 weeks, had regular consultant appointments and was signed back to the midwife at 34 weeks. Am now 40+4... Apparently the cyclogest which I stopped at 36 weeks has really done the trick :) did they say how short the cervix was?

2.71cm. Apparently it's supposed to be between 3.5 & 4.6. I'm on 400mg once a day. I don't have a midwife (not in the uk) so I always see the consultant. Again, he didn't seem overly worried but I do have to go back in four weeks for another scan. Thanks for replying Smile

Mine didn't put me on cyclogest until it had shortened from 3.1 to 2.4cm in a couple of weeks, good that they are keeping an eye on you and doing scans :)

They don't usually get massively concerned unless it shortens to less than 2cm. The cyclogest is really good. Hope all goes well for you.
