Just wondering if anyone has used a doula?

If so, how much did you spend, was it worth it and would you use one again?

I have potential for requiring extra monitoring in late pregnancy and feel maybe a doula would be beneficial to be a level head when dh and I are emotionally attached

I tried to but couldn't find one available for my dates that had been to more than 1 birth. And I looked at 20 weeks!

I know they get booked up quickly, someone i know is a doula, so i already have trust with her.

I might drop her a call and see what she says

I think if you find one you connect with it could be a great idea. I did meet a couple but one seemed nervous and the other just talked and talked and talked so I declined!

I messaged her last night, she is really excited for me and we have arranged to meet up for a coffee and she is going to look at the info the hospital gave me :)
