Hello ladies,
So I have 7 weeks to go and very excited and awaiting the arrival of my first little bubs, I have had a wonderful pregnancy, no sickness, no extreme tiredness and baby is all good and well. However - the past couple of days I have been suffering from siatica which starts from my lumbar region, goes through my left buttock, down the back of my leg to the sole of my foot causing twitching and pins and needles in my foot. I do yoga stretches daily and use a gym ball and neither of those soothe it. Also - I've got the same sort of shooting sharp pain through the front of my left leg, it shoots down the front and around my knee - I know siatica doesn't affect the front of the leg so wondering if any of you have had the same pain, I am wondering if its just the quad muscle going into spasm because of the twitched siatic nerve or whether its something else. Sitting , walking and standing for prolonged periods just makes it worse and lying down is causing lots of pain!!
Have any of you ladies had this pain and been able to soothe it with any stretches / exercises?

TIA

It can affect different parts of the leg. I had it last year and it left me with a trapped nerve on the outside of the leg. My chiropractor said it was unusual as the nerve tends to go down the inside of the leg. I'd go and see a physiology or a chiropractor if I were you, they're brilliant.
