i have been on this site for about 6 months and still do not understand some of the abriviations i thought it would click in to place in time but still no, what do the following mean?
DH
DD
DS
i gather one is son one is daughter i think
sorry i know im silly will just be easier to understand threads x

I'm not sure why people use those acronyms anyway - I think they sound a bit twee, to be honest. It doesn't take long to type "husband"; "partner", "son" or "daughter" etc, so I'm not sure why there's a need for acronyms, apart from to confuse the uninitiated!

i post a lot!! and having to type all those words time and again is actually time consuming when there is an acronym..you'll get the hang of it ! and no-one is bothered if you use the full word..it's whatever you are comfortable with..not there to be confusing...!
