I have had 2 spray tans and I'm only 5 weeks pregnant. I didn't know i shouldn't. Did anyone else do this and was the baby ok?

What ?! Shock You shouldn't have spray tans in pregnancy ?! I had about 5 with ds once when I was about 35 weeks . And he's fine ! Grin

where does it say you cant have spray tans

if thats the case every pregnant women i have known in the past 5 or so years have been doing something wrong

don't bother with any websites except the nhs one for guidance of what/not to do when pregnant.

I never read any advice not too and can't see how it could affect the baby.

I didnt hav a spray tan but I did have massage before I knew I was pregnant...
didn't cause any problems

I definitely had one when I was in the first trimester with ds and I was constantly wearing tanning mousse . No one ever told me I shouldn't and I actually had a conversation about tan in general with my midwife once (we were swapping tanning advice GrinGrin)

NHS says "It's generally considered safe to use fake tan creams and lotions during pregnancy, but it's probably best to avoid spray tans because the effects of inhaling the spray are not known."

I suppose they say they say the effects aren't known. Maybe I'm alright Confused
