Just wandering how many of you actually enjoyed being pregnant & blooming! I just felt like a beached whale & even though I didnt have any sickness or anything I didnt really enjoy it at all and its putting me off having another baby. Nine whole months of being boring! is it just me or do others feel the same?

I absolutely hated it for the first three months, the constant nausea, coupled with the ...oh GOD...what have i done!?! feeling, But now I'm 22 weeks and I've been really loving the past few weeks, even though I'm still sick and permanently knackered. I don't have to hold my tummy in anymore! :0)

NomDePlume · 10/11/2006 10:21

Me.

Ilovemyboy · 10/11/2006 10:48

I hated the first 12 weeks when I was convinced that something bad was going to happen. I was very over-anxious and put myself through hell.

I have loved the rest of it though...have savoured every moment.

Loved it the first time, even though I felt like shite till I reached 6 months. Was working in an office of mainly young, childless women and felt like I was having a baby for all of them. Was waited upon constantly, bought presents and generally looked after. This time feel even more shite, and 2 year-old Ds is not nearly so attentive.

danceswithmonkeys · 10/11/2006 10:53

Not me. I liked feeling the baby move and being centre of attention but otherwise it was bl**dy miserable, painful and soooooo damn long. Thank goodness I've done my time, I have two beautiful children as a result though so it was worth it.

Loved it the first time. Didn't feel sick at all, just hungry, which was OK, and a bit tired for a few weeks. Loved feeling the baby move.

Hated it the second time. Felt iller, more tired, was huge and had terrible back and leg pain for the last month.

Hated weeks 7-10 when I threw up constantly all during the July heatwave, since then have liked it more than I thought I was going to. I am fascinated by the fact that my body is doing this, although I hate the fact that it's almost impossible to get maternity clothes to fit a 5'1" very petite (pre-pregnancy size 4-6) pregnant woman. I was also a keen athlete (have run 3 marathons in the last 3 years) and am struggling with having to slow down and the fact that the baby bounces uncomfortably on my bladder when I run. Also hate the fact that pregnancy has caused a major recurrence of the back acne I thought I'd said goodbye to years ago.

I'm feeling really well though, and have loads of energy, and I love feeling the baby move. If I'm honest though I'm looking forward to having my body back at the end of February!

Hello Everyone !!

I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my second and LAST child ! I loved the result of the pregnancy, a gorgeous little dd, that special moment but it's all I liked !! Alright maybe feeling the first mouvement but that's it really. I have been feeling miserable the first 3 month of the pregnancy, sickness, moodswings and I'm glad it's over but now I've to watch myself becoming a whale...no pregnancy is definitily not for me. Good luck to everyone

PizPizPiz · 10/11/2006 14:39

I LOVED being pg, I even enjoyed the birth much more than I expected ! Everyone kept telling me I looked great and happy, and I felt great and happy. It was the best experience of my life, and I'm expecting the same joy this second time round

sleepfinder · 10/11/2006 15:50

1st three months were horrendous - bad moods, morning sickness, tiredness etc

then in the 4th month I came into my own, felt fantastic, started to show properly and enjoyed it fully, right to the very end...!

Hated it. Felt like a freak towards the end - was pregnant in this year's heatwave. Had heartburn and nausea all the way through.
Having said that compared to having a newborn it was a walk in the park

FireFaerie · 10/11/2006 16:09

went from a size 12 to a size 28.. no amount of people running around for me could make that feel better. 5 years later and ive only made it back down to a size 20.. its a good job i love that DS of mine
Would you enjoy this?

catnip · 10/11/2006 16:30

I absolutely love it - love my bump, love the way people smile at you, love feeling the baby move. Am getting a bit sick of my wardrobe, but will genuinely be sad not to have my baby inside me (at least that's how I feel at 32 weeks!)

Mumpbump · 10/11/2006 16:33

I loved it! Apart from the odd day of fatigue, I felt wonderful, had lots of energy in general and was high on happy hormones for most of the last trimester. Plus, I tend to be a little bit skinny so it was nice to round out again. Plus dh became much more attentive, caring and generally tolerant of me and is still... Plus...

Tutter · 10/11/2006 16:34

loved it

had waited a long time

hoping i'll love it again - found out today i'm pg again and

Booboobedoo · 10/11/2006 17:02

I'm 24 weeks with my first, and the pregnancy thing I could do without.

No SPD like some of my antenatal buddies, but so sick and exhausted I can't function properly.

Also it's turned my brain to cream cheese.

Love the kicks though. (Mine's breach at the mo, which - as far as I'm concerned - is a good thing. Being kicked in the abdomen must be more comfortable than being kicked in the ribs).

bumperlicious · 10/11/2006 17:12

Not loving it so far (8wks)

The overwhelming tiredness, being a social recluse because of tiredness. Can only eat very specific things at any one time, and only at certain times before I feel sick. Bad diet is giving me bad skin and making my feel unhealthy.

Haven't slept through the night in 3 weeks. Can't do any of the exciting things people are planning for Christmas work do's. Realising all the things I will be missing out on at work when I go on leave. Bra's don't fit. Bored and fed up! Feeling v lazy but too tired to do anything about it! Roll on the second trimester!

WestCountryLass · 10/11/2006 22:19

Have had 3 really good pregnancys. Felt a bit sick but if I ate regularly then that kept the nausea at bay, then generally felt really well throughout.

This baby/pregnancy is so different as have felt really sick and can't stomach any food which doesn't help, feel really tired and can't believe I feel so drained (am not one to suffer from tiredness and generally don't need much sleep).

All very peculiar!

auntymandy · 10/11/2006 22:24

I have loved each one!! Always feel well during pregnancy. Always starving and as long as I ate carbs I felt ok. Gained loads of weight though, but a small price to pay for such wonderful little beings!!!

FrayedKnot · 10/11/2006 22:34

Loved it all, even the bad bits!

angelhunter · 11/11/2006 00:11

I loved being pregnant, I think not having any morning sickness helped a lot.
But just felt so special, even better once baby started moving. Only felt like a beached whale in the last few weeks!
Hope to have more little ones and hopefully next prenancies will be just as good.
