Yes you can

SanityClause · 18/05/2015 10:47

Yes, you can!

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 18/05/2015 10:47

Paracetamol is allowed, yes. Do you have any other symptoms other than a headache? Are you swollen anywhere? Call your midwife/labour ward ASAP if you are.

mayaknew · 18/05/2015 10:48

Take paracetamol put and cold compress on your head and lie down .

Feel better soon Thanks

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 18/05/2015 10:48

Don't take my word for this - I'm sure others who know better will be along in a minute. But I'm pretty sure you can take paracetamol. I seem to remember reading in my NHS file that paracetamol is recommended as the first stage of pain relief when you go into labour . . . that makes me think that it must be ok to take it in your third trimester. Any one else agree/disagree?

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 18/05/2015 10:49

Oh good! Lots of people agreed with me while I was typing!

jimijack · 18/05/2015 10:49

What somesort says......any other symptoms????? Ring midwife, when is your next blood pressure/urine dip stick check?

Holden10 · 18/05/2015 11:07

Holden I think you should give your midwife or GP a call now rather than wait until tomorrow morning - better to be safe than sorry... Hope you are soon feeling better. Flowers

Holden10 · 18/05/2015 11:17

thanks hippy, i'll see if the paracetamol works first, just had a look and google seems to say that if that doesnt shift the headache, then its time to worry, is that right? if no better after about 30 mins-1 hr, then i'll be getting in touch. thanks again all.

How you doing now op?

Holden10 · 18/05/2015 12:19

Still got headache and my eyes are watering. Haven't managed a nap yet so that's the next plan. Thanks for asking

I think you should contact your midwife tbh op. Even if it's just for peace of mind, but rather be safe than sorry!

OhHolyFuck · 18/05/2015 12:29

Yea, I agree, if you're still not feeling too great, I'd give them a quick call now

Battleshiphips · 18/05/2015 12:40

Could it be a touch of heyfever. I get headaches and watery eyes with it. I would definitely get in touch with mw though as you are swollen and have high bp. It's worth it if only for your peace of mind.

Holden10 · 18/05/2015 16:03

Had a lovely sleep and cuddle with my puppy and I feel right as rain now! Thanks all.

FeelTheNoise · 18/05/2015 19:41

Ahh puppy power Grin glad you're feeling better, but as pp said, you really should call if you feel that bad again, esp with your bp being high

Holden10 · 18/05/2015 20:26

Yeah I definitely will ring in future! Thanks for everyone's input today really appreciate it
