Well I'm no spring chicken (38), so maybe that has something to do with it, but I am so incredibly tired. I am going to bed very early, but waking around 4.30 for a while (I have a toddler too, so my sleep routine isn't what it used to be), but I can go back to sleep after a while and this weekend I slept until 8.30 both days and then had a nap at lunchtime. I don't remember this extreme tiredness from the last time. Anyone else going through the same thing? Will it lift in a couple of weeks when I enter the second trimester? I'm so flipping hormonal too. It's a wonder my husband hasn't initiated divorce proceedings!

I think I slept for the first 12 weeks of both of my pregnancies.

Felt fine during the second trimester, then knackered again for the third,,

Totally normal.

This pregnancy I've never felt so knackered! I'm 20+2 and still tired beyond belief, don't think I've hit the 'blooming and full of vigour' stage yet and honestly can't see it happening anytime soon. Joy.

Normal

The first 12 weeks of pregnancy I slept and that's it.. I think weekends I was awake for 2 hours and would go back to bed! On the weekdays I went to sleep as soon as I got in from work to the stage id have a hot meal at work and a sarnie on the way home.

Oh brilliant! I'm so glad to see that it's not just me. I think I need to show this thread to my husband. I get the impression he thinks I'm exaggerating!

First pregnancy I wasn't that tired, this time (8 weeks in) I am totally exhausted! Can hardly keep my eyes open, doesn't help having a 9 month old to run around after though instead of being able to zonk out!!

Hobbit19 · 17/05/2015 22:00

Feel your pain OP, I am more tired now than when I had glandular fever! Totally ridiculous, I could literally sleep all day. Hope you start to feel better soon!

nervousnelly1001 · 17/05/2015 22:01

I was shattered every day until about 14 weeks

Sparrowlegs248 · 18/05/2015 04:49

Pregnant with #1 and was exhausted. exhausted until about 15was. Was actual quite worried how i would manage if it carried on! I'm 37 if that makes any difference (my mum insists its harder at my age......)

29+2 now and starting to tire again but mainly due to lack of sleep.

rootypig · 18/05/2015 05:01

In my first trimester with DD I could barely move. I was 28. It lifted by about 15 weeks - hope you have more energy soon. Keep napping when you can!

eleanoralice11 · 18/05/2015 05:39

I've been exhausted since I found out (17wks now) combination of low BP and just preparing to grow this sprog! Only started to feel better! Hang on in there, it's horrible but will pass!

Cavort · 18/05/2015 05:55

I wasn't tired at all in my first pregnancy. I'm currently 18+6 with DC2 and it's been much different this time. I feel better now but from 5-13 weeks I had constant crippling tiredness.
