I'm 3 weeks from due date and my partner has been rubbish throughout. I kept thinking he would change when I got a bump or when it got closer but it just hasn't. He will do the housework so I don't have to but he is not in the slightest bit interested in anything baby! Won't touch ny tummy, doesn't care about nursery things or clothes and I had to drag him pram shopping!! Today I am going on a tour of the womens unit and he refuses to come!! Last week I was in hospital with suspected pre eclampsia and he sulked at the fact we had to go and just sat on his phone texting away for the duration not even interested in me in the slightest!

Someone tell me that he will change when I go into labour/when baby is born??

I don't think any of us can tell you that unfortunately. He may suddenly be overcome with fatherly love and change... but he may not.

Have you had a chat with him about it? Does he know that he's being crap and hurting your feelings or does he seem genuinely oblivious to how he is being?

What is he like in other ways? Is he generally selfish?

The stress and sleeplessness of a newborn is hardly a balm on a tricky relationship.

Yea I think he is quite selfish actually he never used to be or maybe I never noticed until it was my turn to be centre.
