Can anyone help me make sense of my dates? BFP at 6dpo! Maybe?

I've been trying to conceive since December, but my cycle has been all over the place and then I had an early mc in February. Cycle is irregular and normally upwards of 35 days. 48 days in Dec / Jan!

Last 'proper' AF was 6th April. I used OPK daily from 16th April due to wonky cycles, but then got another AF on 30th April with no ovulation detected; both using OPK and looking for physical signs.

AF was very short (2.5 days) and very light, but red blood and clots (sorry, tmi). Then, on cd5 I got ewcm so I used the OPK and got a flashing smile. The flashing smile continued until cd9 (Friday 8th) when it went to being bold.

I got a faint bfp last night, and a clearer one this morning... but I'm only 6dpo! And only 14 days since AF...??

I'll go and see the GP next week to do booking in etc but I'm hoping someone might have some suggestions for me! Thanks

Have you tried a cb digital which tells you the weeks?
If it says anything like 3 plus weeks then you know you conceived over 3 weeks ago so the 14 days af may have been implantation or something?

Really you could have ovulated at any time, it isn't always day 14.
May well have been during AF!

I'd try what Bearchomp suggests (and not worry too much if it says 1-2 as they can be notoriously late to show more weeks) then book in with the midwife and ask for a dating scan if possible

Congratulations! That is a fairly decent line so I'd say ovulation was 14+ days ago.

Could 'light' period have been implantation bleeding? The positive OPK reading could have been from HCG?

Any chance the bleed on the 30th was implantation rather than a period?

Don't think 30th could have been implantation because I've been using internet cheapy tests on and off, and I would have picked it up if I were 6 weeks pregnant.

I think, most likely, 30th was ovulation bleeding. Dr Google says that's possible, but it's normally spotting. Maybe it was more due to the high fertility that comes after a miscarriage?

I don't know! I'm going to do a dating CB test tomorrow, then will go to the GP on Monday to get referred. I was going to self refer but I think there are too many unknowns!

I was getting BFN with internet cheapies at 6 weeks

Did the CB test on Saturday- it said 1-2 weeks.

Went to see the GP this morning and she agrees my dates are very confusing, so I've got an early scan next week to see what's going on. Then repeat as necessary until it's the right size.

They won't even refer me to the midwife until the dates are clearer. Ah well. Still an efficient system!
