What am I feeling?

I am 29 weeks and saw the MW yesterday who said baby is head down, back to left. However, I am feeling almost all my movement lately really low down in the pelvis area, mainly on the left. If it is head down and back to left then what am I feeling? Is it headbanging? And where are it's feet, why aren't they kicking?

Also I keep getting a weird pulsing sensation really low down, almost in my pubic area -it feels almost like a throbbing vessel but I am assuming it's the baby. It goes on for about 5-10 minutes so I'm thinking it might be hiccups due to regularity of every second or so. However, again, why is it just the head which is hiccuping!?

Any ideas - it's so confusing?

Sounds like hiccups, I'm 33 + 3 and bump has the hiccups a few times a day.

Babies are often curled up quite tightly even at this stage so if s/he has legs stretched they can be not far from the head- they are quite flexible! Also even if MW said back is on the left they can twist and turn, quite often do depending on your position.

Throbbing sensation might just be if baby is resting on a blood vessel perhaps?

Hands by the baby's head?

Ha I know about this!

I have the same thing, and assumed it was hands, then at my scan on Monday (30+1) the sonographer showed me his feet were by his head!!

Mine has been in that position since 22 weeks and hasn't changed, I know this as had weekly then fortnightly internal scans, the movement I feel low down is hands, shoulders and head mainly. Also I only felt the hiccups in one place, but now when she gets them she has a bit more of a fidget, put the main pulsing feeling is low down, sometimes on my right, sometimes on my left :) am now 38+2

Mine is head down but also does put his legs by his head, crazy. Sometimes it feels like I'm having an octopus as his kicks are all over. I'm 29+6 x

Thanks all - its just the strange pulsing that's a mystery now. I think it might actually be my HB from a blood vessel in my stomach or uterus? Its always in the same place and doesn't seem to coincide with movement so doesn't feel like baby
