Fibroids/ cysts

Hello all.

I have a question for anyone who has a fibroid or cyst during pregnancy.

How did they monitor the cyst and how often?

I'm currently 16 weeks and have my first consultant appointment tomorrow. I hate not knowing what to expect at an appointment!

Any experiences would be helpful.

I have a fibroid and for my son they just did another scan quite late (can't remember how late but maybe 35 weeks) to check where it was in relation to him and whether it would cause trouble for him coming out.
Afterwards I also had to have a specialist check my womb because the me thought it wasn't shrinking properly but it was just Freddie the fibroid getting in the way!

I had a fibroid diagnosed at a scan when I was pregnant. Nothing happened, DS was born Nora,may and everything was fine

I had two dermoid cysts, one on each ovary found at the 12 week scan, they checked they hadn't grown at the 20 week scam but that was it. Said they would need to be removed after I'd given birth. As it turns out I had an emergency section and the surgeon was so alarmed by the size of them she took them out then and there which was quite handy really! I know someone else who has a different kind of cyst(can't remember what) but it was growing quite quickly so they removed via surgery when she was about 18 weeks. I think I only got away with that because mine hadn't grown.
