I know it's a long shot but just wondering if anyone else suffers from vaginismus?
I'm wondering if it will affect labour and birth and how much.
Also if anyone else has been nervous about sex due to it being tighter during pregnancy.

Hi there I used to suffer from this but overcame it through hypnotherapy - I only needed a few sessions. I'd really urge you to find a practitioner near you who specialises in this to ensure you don't suffer with any more undue anxiety xx

I suffered for a while, but when my mental health got sorted it really improved, and I almost never suffer from it now.

I was worried about this too during my first pregnancy. I flagged it up with my midwife at my booking appointment and she referred me to a fantastic consultant at the hospital and they were so caring, considerate and helpful when it came to labour too. In addition I had also been referred by my GP consultant specialising in talking things through which I found enormously helpful. Natural birth with number 1 and I found that everything eased off after that - am now pregnant again.

That's brilliant to hear such positive stories, thank you all :)

I suffer with it but can't help you with pregnancy concerns. I do however regularly visit a vaginismus forum and im sure there's a pregnancy section on there. I'll try to like it for you. Hold on.
