Am i 5w4d pregnant or further? just wondering!!?

Well to start off, the first day of my last period was the 1st of march, which would make me 10 week today (or so I thought). Well I had a scan 2 weeks ago due to bleeding & clots (sorry for TMI) and there was just a sac there, nothing else! So was told the worst. I went home feeling empty & numb. I had a follow on scan to make sure everything was 'gone' 4 days later, this is when they told me I was indeed still pregnant & that my little bean was only 4 weeks and 6 days old. I have also been told that as my little bean is low down in sac it 'doesn't look good' but im thinking positive :) Well I today I am now 5 weeks 4 days, but everyone has been telling me that pregnancy symtoms don't start until 6 weeks, but iv been feeling EVERY symptom possible from around week 1 (if I am 5w4d)!! So my question is, could I be further gone than they think (If all is well), or am I actually 5w4d & just been one of the lucky ones to experience all the symptoms all the way through??

Thank you! I hope so too, this is my first pregnancy so hoping all goes well, even though these past 2 weeks I have literally been to hell & back! Keeping my fingers crossed for Friday (a scan to see if little bean Is still tucked up & comfy) :)

I have a one and half year old lol and my period is now 10 days late and i ache all over!
its equally as potentially scary the second time around to lol!!

My symptoms started at 5 weeks - sore boobs and nausea. I'm 7 weeks now.

whatabout: I posted about something else yesterday. Surely I can make more than 1 post? :/ Iv got a lot of different questions to ask as im 20 years old with my first pregnancy, which I also turning out to be very complicated?!

Congratulation on your pregnancy!

It wouldn't be possible to experience pregnancy symptoms from week 1 as you are already classed as 2 weeks pregnant at the moment you conceive due to it being dated from the first day of your last period. If you are 5 weeks 4 days, the actual conception date would be around 16th April so you wouldn't have had any pregnancy hormones prior to that as you weren't pregnant yet./

I'm not totally sure I understand your post - so do they think you ovulated really late? That's definitely possible but if you normally have regular periods it's not common. When are they next scanning you to see how it's all progressing?

At 1 week pregnant you haven't yet had the sex that gets you pregnant so no it is not possible to feel pregnancy symptoms that early. HCG is the cause of pregnancy symptoms and that isn't created until about 6-11 days after conception. Which brings you to about 3.5-4 weeks of pregnancy at the minimum.

When did you get your first BFP?

Rockchick1984 : I have a scan Friday to see if all is going how it should be as its not looking too good atm. They haven't really said a lot as im not yet seen as a 'viable pregnancy' .. so I literally know as little as possible!!

sarkymare : I done my first prengnacy test the 10th of April, I done a clear blue digital which said 'Pregnant 1 - 2' so im sure everyone can see my confusion.

My scan was on the 5th of May which said I was 4w6d, so im completely & utterly confused.

All I can think of is my baby is not progressing as it should & it looks like im behind? :/

I have a scan Tues, around 4 weeks too with bleeding. Though it seems to have eased off today!

It's horrible not knowing.

My bleeding has stopped now & my sickness has hit my like a ton of bricks! So praying that that's a good sign! :)

When did the bleeding you experienced start? It could be that the bleeding was a very early loss and this is a new pregnancy, but then that wouldn't explain the rise and then fall of HCG you mentioned on your other thread.

I can completely understand why you are confused, I am confused for you. I think in your shoes I would be trying to stay positive to some extent but I would also be preparing myself for the worst.

My bleeding started a week before my scan. It was extremely heavy with a lot of clots (sorry for tmi) ... but a week later baby had grown (week before there was just a sac). Iv just been told so many different things! I got told I had lost my baby, to then be told my baby was growing, to then be told again it 'doesn't look good' so im feeling all over the place! I know theres more of a chance of the worst happening than it getting better, I just don't know how to feel or think!

It really is a very odd situation, you have just blew my new pregnancy theory. Being in limbo is horrid, I know this only too well. Hopefully you will finally know what's going on at your next scan and I have my fingers crossed for good news!

I had my first scan April 27th - Just a sac nothing else, got told I had miscarried.

Second scan 5th May - Baby was measuring 4w6d but low down in sac so got told it 'doesn't look good'.

Third scan now 15th May - Determine if there has been any growth or if I need the hospital to intervene.

Going from the dates of my last period, I should of been 9w1d on my first scan & then just over 10w on my second, so you can all imagine being told I was only 4w6d was a huge shock to my system!

Fingers crossed all is well Friday!
