Anyone around 36 weeks want to join me for this last stretch??

This is my second baby already have a son, don't know what I'm having next. Really hoping he/she comes early as this pregnancy has been no fun at all. I never reached the "blooming" stage!!?? Caught every cold and virus available, ridiculously sick, awful heartburn, lots of pain and apparently I have a huge baby. Really excited to meet baby though and it really can't come soon enough!!! As soon as I reach 37 weeks I'm trying every trick in the book to get them out. My first was 2 weeks over and I had to be induced, fingers crossed that's not the case this time!

Tell me your story and let's get through these last few weeks!! ????

I'm 36+3 today and very ready to be not pregnant now!

First baby, a girl - we had been trying for six months, gave up while I concentrated on losing weight, lo and behold, three weeks later I found out I was nine weeks pregnant!

In all honesty I had a very easy ride for the first six months apart from mild anaemia (picked up and dealt with quickly) and some pelvic pain (very bad but left as quickly as it came - had a week of it all told).

However, at 26 weeks I was diagnosed with GD with a borderline result on my GTT. From the initial result and my BMI (high but not worryingly so) I and the GD consultant and nurses assumed I would be able to be able to be diet controlled but within a few weeks and despite a REALLY strict low-carb diet I had very high readings and was put on Metformin. Unfortunately I had a very bad reaction to the Metformin which left me dehydrated, malnourished, with infections and eventually hospitalised so was moved onto insulin which has had to be steadily increased but now - finally - seems to have got itself sorted and my blood sugars are steady.

Other than that I have definitely struggled more in the third trimester than the first two - sleeping is a pain - sore sore hips and so heavy I wake up every time I need to change position, bad acid reflux that has made me violently sick a few times, and so. many. wees. So yeah...ready for baby to come now!

DP and I are both tall and because of the GD I have had extra scans showing baby is big (but not because of the GD - doesn't seem to be affecting her at all!) - on target to 9lb at 40 weeks so I have been booked in to be induced at 39 weeks, with a sweep at 38+4 to hopefully get things going more naturally. Very very odd to think I may have a baby in three weeks time...
