am i 10 weeks or 14 just need something clarified ?

Okay so my last AF was 31st of January so going by that date I'd be 14 weeks today but when I was meant to be 7 weeks there was no baby on a sac but I have an ovarian cyst burst and was in hospital this is how they saw that the measurements weren't right. So at my last scan I was meant to be 8 weeks but the midwife then said my baby was measuring 9 weeks 1days and that it was catching up on itself rightly. So on my scan picture it says I'm 12 weeks 3 days baring in mind this was a few weeks ago and now it would say 14 weeks. So am I 10 weeks 5days or am I 14 weeks today with a small baby ? Really confused xxx thanks in advance

Should also say when there was only a sac they couldn't give me measurements or dates x

10+5, the first date was lmp but scan is more accurate. It may well change again (and finally) at the 12 week scan

Ya see that's what I'm worried about as I'mreally starting to fill out and I don't see how I could only be 10 weeks 5 days when I found out I was pregnant 8 weeks ago so that would make me finding my pregnancyat 2 weeks pregnant I don't see how that is possible that's wats now making me think am I going to be 15 weeks at my 12 week scan but because I can't possibly be 10 weeks by the date I found out if you know what I mean

I was very, very bloated at that stage. I guess you'll have to wait for the scan, things will only be clear then.

I'm going wide but not bloated out the way I just don't understand how dates could be that although they have changed so many times

I can only advise to wait until your dating scan. That is what they will go by for the rest of your pregnancy and LMP will no longer matter.

At my early scan I was told that I was 8 weeks 3 days when I should have been 9 weeks, then at my dating scan I was told 13 weeks when I thought I was 12+2, so it had put me ahead again.

Also bloating can be all round. I wasn't able to weat my normal jeans from 10 weeks

Ok, you didn't say originally that you had known for eight weeks. Again though you'll have to wait and see what they say at your 12 week scan which should be more accurate :)

No midwife will give you a due date until you have had a dating scan. With my dd I thought I was pregnant about 5 days before my period, test confirmed it. (I would of been around 2.5 weeks)The reason I thought I was pregnant was because I looked it, I instantly bloat and have done with all of my pregnancies, am expecting no4 at the moment.

Yea my pregnancy was confirmed by hpt 8 weeks ago and then by a Dr two days later when I was at hospital with suspected ectopic which was actually a burst cyst and I was in hospital five days so was definetley pregnant then as they were doing my hcg levels every day and have my '12 weeks' scan on the 19th so will just have to wait and see this was my scan twoweeks ago

My first scan picture had weeks and dates on it, but that then changed at the official dating scan. Also my 12 week scan picture is a lot different to yours, so don't know what else to say other than hopefully you will get more clarification on the 19th

You might want to ask HQ to remove pic as its got your name dob etc..

It says 12 weeks because they've inputted the dates you've supplied as lmp (which sound to be wrong)

Yes I know that I've had 4 miscarriages in the past but I've known I'm pregnant for 8_ weeks now

Well you could be anywhere between 10 and 14 weeks!

If it helps I had a scan at 7 weeks 3 days and they said only a sac and could not be 7 weeks, more like 4/5 weeks. Rescanned at around 10 weeks, and showed 10 weeks. I knew I had ovulated early so was expecting to be further ahead than dates. When I had my dating scan at 12 weeks, I was measuring 5 days ahead (which tied in with my early ovulation).

So I went from 2 weeks or more behind to 5 days ahead. The reason is two fold, firstly there is a large margin for error in early scans, and the second that if you have a retroverted uterus (common to have) you can measure up to two weeks behind easily. ( see misdiagnosedmiscarriages website)

My guess would be that you are possibly around 12 weeks

Gestational age is based on your LMP, so the 12weeks 3 days on your scan is not what you need to be looking at. You need to look at the other measurements on your scan (which I can't see in the pictures you have posted) normally on the right hand side of the scan. Look for the sac size GS measurement. This will tell you what size they measured and the estimated scan age for that scan. As I say this will not necessarily help, as it can change as it did for me, fairly easily!)

It is possible you are now 14 weeks, as you got the positive test 8 weeks ago, the very earliest that you can test positive would be 3 weeks, so 8+3 means that you could not really be less than 11 weeks. You could well have ovulated late in your cycle.

As for the bloating / filling out, this is a bit of a red herring, as many people have huge bloating early on, but not necessarily.

Sorry but you will have to wait for your next scan to get a better idea of your dates!
