I was exactly the same when pregnant with ds1 so I'm thinking this surely means another boy on the cards??

Anyway baby's sex is not the point - I cannot get enough of crisps just now!! And if there is salsa dip to hand too then I am eternally happy.

Anyone else getting a bit overly obsessed with any foods just now?

Haha I'm obsessed with carbs at the moment..bread, chips, crisps, baked potatos and cheese. never had cravings with my first 2 (a girl then a boy) so this is strange.

HelenF350 · 08/05/2015 17:52

Curry. The spicier the better, but it's not that unusual for me as I love curry anyway.

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 08/05/2015 17:58

I hate myself, my morals have gone out the window. After nearly 30 years of being a staunch marmite hater, I can't stop eating the stuff. Endless cheese and marmite sarnies, I get really grumpy if I haven't had my first by 12pm... I need help Confused. My first, I hear salty cravings usually means a boy?

sophiaslullaby · 08/05/2015 18:25

Im a crisp eater too but then wanting carbs and salt as they're only things that keep hunger and nausea away. Dinner is in the kven and im currently eating BBQ pringles -YUM!

Have just put salsa dip on my shopping list too as sounds good! Blush

CurlsLDN · 08/05/2015 18:36

Throughout my pregnancy I couldn't get enough of salsa, sliced tomatoes with salt on, and salt and vinegar McCoy's. I had a boy

u32ng · 08/05/2015 21:00

Haha it was salt and vinegar mccoys i had this morning!Grin

Just as well Aldi's salsa isn't expensive! (And is tasty!)

Well then I also recommend wheat Crunchies. Not as sharp, but still fantastically salty

sarkymare · 09/05/2015 03:07

Two bags of the cheapest ready salted crisps I can buy is my daily breakfast at the moment. I'm sick if i even try to eat anything else when I wake up. With DS I pretty much lived on Wotsits (with the addition of salad cream later

sarkymare · 09/05/2015 03:16

Oops pressed send too soon!

The winner for me is ice. I just can't get enough of it! I'm going through a 2kg bag every 2 days on average and the whole top drawer of the freezer is MINE dedicated (and full) of ice lollies and ice poles. It's ridiculous how happy having a drawer full of frozen goodies makes me.

CheerfulYank · 09/05/2015 03:58

I just want milkshakes and the smell of pine scented cleaner around me constantly. :o

CheerfulYank · 09/05/2015 03:59

Oooh I'm having lots of ice too Sarky. I make a big jug of ice water and gulp it down so I can crunch all the lovely ice.

Mmmm I will go do it now...

newbian · 09/05/2015 05:43

Sweet breakfast cereal for me. I used to love that stuff when I was a kid but haven't eaten much of it in years...until this pregnancy. Terrible I know!

u32ng · 10/05/2015 16:01

Oh yes I identify with the sweet cereal thing too. I never had it before but now am sneaking some coco pops crocs into my Aldi Special K equivalentGrin

Ready salted crisps got me through early morning sickness until I couldn't eat anything. I kept them in my classroom cupboard and snuck mouthfuls during teaching Blush

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 10/05/2015 16:03

Oh and I had a boy

scarednoob · 10/05/2015 16:07

Crisps are the way forward. Not sure where to, but definitely the way forward!

There is some research suggesting that craving ice can mean low iron levels, so might be worth just getting that checked when you can?

LorryHen · 10/05/2015 16:48

Any form of salty or potato foods cannot eat enough of. I ate my body weight in salty popcorn this week and cooked two packs of those herby new potatoes for a snack. Also chips and gravy are like some perverted good porn for me at the moment Blush

I'm having a boy.

TakesTwoToTango · 10/05/2015 17:23

mrsgently I craved salty foods, salt and vinegar crisps and olives with my first (a girl) so you never know!

losthermind · 10/05/2015 17:40

I've especially gone out today to aldi for a jar of mild salsa dip and a bag of salted tortilla chips
I am craving carbs and salty things, I've got gammon under the grill and intend to have a side order of salsa to go with it
25+2 with a boy

u32ng · 10/05/2015 22:52

losthermind Aldi salsa & tortilla chips - you will not be disappointedGrin

I would not at all be surprised if I was having another boy. Our ds has 4 other boy cousins! I don't think my dh's side of the family can produce anything but haha and we've always joked that this is 'generation boy' because the previous family level up was predominantly girls!
