Screening test results

Hello :)

I had my Quad test done last Thursday as I couldn't have the combined nuchal screening.

Does anyone remember how long their results for the NT or quad took to come back?

I'm struggling a bit with anxiety and the waiting isn't really helping. I have a sexing scan tomorrow and want to enjoy it. I probably sound silly!

I think the longer the wait the better - they call those with high risk results within 3 days at my hospital. Mine took 2 weeks (NT) but low risk.
Sounds like you've waited a week so that's a good sign

I was told no news is good news. Didn't find out until four weeks later at my 16 week appointment. Differs area to area.

My low risk NT results took just over two weeks. But I'm sure every hospital is different.

Thanks for your replies :)

I know they had to send my blood to a different hospital and there was a bank holiday in between so I'm not going to get too excited yet!

Feels like ages now as I couldn't have the NT and had to wait until 16 weeks for quad! Oh well

No news is definitely good news. I had NT and was glued to the phone for 5 days (I have said on here before, I never realised how much I wanted to murder spamming PPI calls!). Results took just over a week.

Thanks scarednoob :)

It is so nerve wracking whenever someone phones I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack haha I shouted at an estate agent yesterday. Obviously they should have known I was waiting for test results before daring to call me hahaha.

Argh, I'll just keep waiting then thanks ladies.

Hi Lorry I got quads done too and it took a little over a week I think with good results.
How far gone were you on first scan?
I was 16 + 6 and got them done immediately! Blush

Hi mountainofdreams :)

Wow that must have been a lovely shock! I was 12 + 5 but my baby was not interesting in co-operating.

Instead it did a head stand, twirled a lot, wiggled around and then finally fell asleep... In the wrong position HmmHmmHmm therefore I had to have the quad instead.

Thanks for your message though, hopefully won't have long to wait.

How far along are you now?

My friends screening came back with high risk (her baby's fine) and they rang her within two days so no news is definitely good news. I had the quad test and it was back after a week or so.

mountainofdreams · 08/05/2015 13:47

Lorry yes it was a bit! I'm 19 + 1 and looking forward to twenty week scan next week!
I am waiting on my bump to appear as I don't feel like I look pregnant.
However if I did have a bump I probably wouldn't be able to move as I'm very small! Smile

OMG I got my results through the post today. 1:100000! I can't believe it thank you for your support.
