Just found out I'm pregnant! But got terrible cramps and can't take ibuprofen. I've found a microwave heat bag works a treat, but it's a lavender bag. Is this bad?
Thanks

Also .... as I work in children's home, sometimes over night, having a warm bath or exercising isn't possible .... sees to be what people are suggesting online!

I don't think you're meant to use heat bags sorry......

Not sure about heat bags but I had more than 1 hot water bottle strapped to me throughout my whole pregnancy

Heat bags are ok, lavender isn't recommended in early pregnancy. I used one for my migraine and was told no lavender .

Thanks all. Ended up in the EPU getting an early scan. All is well, but for anyone interested doc in the EPU said heat bags, even the lavender ones, are fine, even to use on cramps in your abdomen cause the baby is protected by layers of hard core mum-Ness. Sorted
