  • should I worry??

Have been showing for a few weeks now, which I put down to second pregnancy apparently you do show earlier, also had terrible morning sickness since 6 weeks and could swear I felt some flutters last week too.
Last few days, nothing. Tummy flat, no sick, no flutters.

Thoughts?

I don't tnknk it's anything to worry about. I had all those same symptoms in the beginning (sickness etc etc) .... I felt like I was showing real quick to but as the weeks went on I noticed my tummy getting smaller. Turns out the first few months I was just bloated and full of gas and once that had all subsided I my tummy went flatter and the sickness stopped (probably around 15/16 weeks to). I felt the odd "flutter" but no real movement for many weeks. When I look back I don't think it was baby fluttering at all I think it was all to do with the sickness and bloating x speak to your MW if your really worried though x

It's very common around this time. Happened in my first and I'm so bloated at 6 weeks now I know it'll deflate again around then. Isn't this what they call the second trimester glow? No sickness, less gas, your baby bump comes in and you feel a bit more human! Pregnant enough to be less anxious, not so pregnant you're exhausted.

I'd forgotten about that bit! So weird. You've had the scan, been obsessively prodding for the bump, feeling all kinds of rough, and hen suddenly it's like there's no evidence you're pregnant at all.

Don't worry, it's just the first trimester bloat going away. The real bump will be along shortly. Meanwhile you get to enjoy the bit in the middle where you don't feel like crap any more and aren't yet the size of a hatchback.

Also your 16wk midwife check is coming up, which is when I first heard the heartbeat. Amazing Smile

Isn't that about the right time for the placenta to kick in and do more of the work, meaning symptoms subside?

Ahh lovely, so reassuring to hear it's not just me/ this is actually a 'thing'! Ok, must embrace feeling good! It is so nice not to feel green I have to say! :) Thank you all! :)

Exactly the same happened me at about 15 weeks. Didn't feel pregnant again til about 20 weeks. Enjoy it while it lasts, you'll soon be 25 weeks with a little rascal kicking the fanny out of you from the inside, all.day.long!!! ;)
