Measuring 4 weeks ahead! Worry or not?

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. First was 7lb 1oz 12 days overdue.

At 25 weeks, I measured exactly 25cm.

At 28 weeks, I measured 32cm.

At 30 weeks, I measured 34 weeks (had an additional appointment she to bp issues in previous pregnancy)

My next appointment is at 33 weeks.

My midwife didn't seem worried at all.

I've also been day to day assessment at 29 weeks and the midwife said I was measuring slightly ahead. And after a reassurance scan, they told me I had quite a bit of fluid.

I've only gained a stone so far..

I'm worried that I'm going to have a huge baby. My son was born by c-section and I really want a vbac this time but worried she is going to be large.

Any advice?

fundal height I guess? Not to worry, this is incredibly inaccurate. I was measured 16 cm at 16 weeks, and 15 cm at 20 weeks. No, I didn't shrink.

Don't worry. You've a big healthy baby! I was measuring big all along. Baby eventually born 1 week late and yes was very big - 11lbs! But it can all be guess work. I think I was undiagnosed gestational diabetes... Maybe do that test if you think baby v big?

Don't know if my above post was helpful... Sorry! But my friend going in for extra scans this week because baby is measuring very small. That's probably more worrying in my opinion (but in her case both her and her husband are v slight so probably just that)

All the way through I was told my baby would be big due to my measurements and borderline gestational diabetes. I finally had a scan at week 34 and she was small and I had lots of fluid

Please try not to worry - it is not the most accurate way to measure baby!

Oh yes, a friend of mine was tiny, she barely looked pregnant when 8 months gone. Also had to have extra scans, because doctors were concerned the baby was too small. 4 kilos, he was..

I dont think you should worry with big babies as a previous poster has mentioned its the small babies that are a worry.

I also am measuring 4 weeks ahead and have had growth scans as I am huge. He weighed 5lb 9oz at 32 weeks. But I have heard that they arent that accurate.

they sometime associate big babies with mothers health ie gestational diabetes but I my results came back negative.

hope all goes well.

I wouldn't take too much notice, I was 27cm at 25 weeks, 29cm at 26 weeks, then 26cm at 26 weeks! How could I have shrunk 3cm?!

With DC3 I had too much fluid and measured full term at 30 weeks. The day before he was born at 37 and a bit weeks my bump was 74 centimetres. He was 9lb and half an ounce.
With DC4 all the way through I measured over, not as big as DC3 but big enough to get several growth scans. It was predicted he would be 10 or 11 pounds. He was born at 38 weeks exactly and was only 8lb 4 oz.

Notso your babies were similar to mine, except DC measured small the whole pregnancy and was 9lb at exactly 40 weeks.
DD measured average and was 8lb 2oz at exactly 38 weeks (or 37 according to my dates)
