Hi I am 25, I have been trying to conceive for 3 years now. I was due my period 2 weeks and 3 days ago, this is very unusual for me to be late as I have checked all diaries and I am regular 26-28 day cycle. I have took 4 neg tests and a neg test with doc - with whom I am going back to see tomorrow. Only sympton I have is feeling abnormally bloated and also more tired than usual. Should I be hopful or am I just bein over paranoid???????

Hi Sue don't really have much advice for you except good luck, and hope everything works out, have you tried a first response preg test?
Is the doctor going to do another test, or give you a scan?
My friend had 11 neg tests and never tested positive till 10 weeks! keep posted on how you get along xx

The generall rule is a negative could be a positive but a positive is never a negative.

Best of luck, you probably shouldn't get your hopes up. It is very unusual for the tests to be inacurate.
I had a friend though that never got a positive pg'cy test with her second. Even at the doctors and with bloods. She had to pay to confirm her pg in the end with a private scan at 22 weeks. By then she was convinced as she could feel the baby moving. The doctors couldn't give her an explanation either?

there have been stories from other mnetters who have not had a postive test show up for weeks ! as lollipopz has said! do you know that you had sex at the right time? do your boobs feel tender?

i do hope you get the news that you want.....fingers crossed for you....

have you any investigations into why you are struggling to conceive? you don;t have to answer if too personal..there is a seperate discussion board called 'conception' where there will be a lot of support from women in similar situation...

1st time on site amazed at quick answers thank you all.

I have tried 2 x first response tests but i took those within the 1st week of being late for the 'quick response'. I am unsure what the doctor's next step will be he didnt seem to interested on my last visit - I had to ask for the test. Think I will request a scan depending on what he suggests. (My orginal doctor who I was seeing has left - just my luck didn't want to be over paranoid patient with new doc?

I have got my ovulating days to a tee, and this month I felt really positive for some reason around ovulation???

Failing all I have an app with hospital coming up for an x-ray to use a dye to see if any blcokages.

I will keep posted about after docs app. Thanks Again xx

Well b4 my app with docs yesterday I started spotting. Explained everything too doc (who I found least helpful!) then later on in night my cycle started. I am completly bemused as to why after 3 year of regular periods I was over 2 weeks overdue :-(

I have a gynea app in January so will take things from there - think I will chil out over the xmas!

Thank you all for your kind support.

Sue xxx
