Terrible back pain.

Has anyone else had back pain that feels like they are being stabbed? I was in tears tonight it hurt so much. Id had a lie down and needed to get up and it was agony. Paracetamol barely touched it but heat seems to help a bit. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have a hospital appointment tomorrow so will be asking about the pain then, if I can get up that is!

Could be a UTI, get your urine checked at your hospital appt

Well, everything was OK at the hospital. I ended up at the GP as the pain was back again. I have damaged a muscle and it is apparently noticeably swollen and feels hard. Been prescribed a huge box of paracetamol and deep heat max. Feels a bit better but have been told it may be a couple of weeks before it really settles.

Glad they've figured out what has caused the pain, hope it gets better quickly
