Maternity and baby photographers

First time mother here. I know this may have been asked before but what is the best time for a maternity photo session?
I would like professional newborn photographs of my baby due in August. Can anyone recommend a good BUT AFFORDABLE photographer in London (preferably South West London)?

I've just booked one for 10 days old...the photographer advised anywhere between 7 and 12 days woks best for the squishy sleepy newborn pics...

Not in London, so can't really recommend one though, sorry!
