im after some information or reassurance please; this morning I woke up & felt absolutely fine. Went for a wee & immediately started getting burning cramps in my uterus & vagina, like a heavy, hot sensation. I thought maybe I didn't wee enough so went back & had BM. straight away the pain intensified & I'm lying on the bathroom floor in a cold sweat & was even sick.

It's been about half hour now & although pain not as bad, it still feels like a hard, sharp rock is lodged in my abdomen. Is this the pain you get when all stretching or should I be worried? I'm 5wks today

That does not sound like anything I ever experienced. Please speak to a doctor or midwife.

Aquarius1 · 04/05/2015 09:41

I haven't experienced this either but if I had I think I'd have got it checked out ASAP - eg with the local Early Pregnancy Unit - at least give them a call & they can give you advice.

Thank you for replies. It's so weird, everything has stopped now & I feel fine. I was sure it was all over when I typed the original post. If it gets worse today & still there tomorrow I'll call mw Smile

That level of pain isn't normal. You should call TODAY rather than wait. It could be an infection, ectopic or something else.

Please call today

Allstoppedup · 04/05/2015 11:19

I would call today. I've never experienced that in either of my pregnancies and haven't heard of similar symptoms.

Even if it's nothing, it's better to get it checked out and have that confirmed than leave it and end up damaging yourself by waiting.

Please see a Dr today- at the very least call 111 and get a call back, a medical professional will assess the situation and advise the best course of action.

Sounds like something similar my friend had and she had an infection. Speak to a doctor even If you are feeling better now.

JemimaPuddled · 04/05/2015 11:48

I've had similar, mine was a UTI but please go to the EPU asap. Do not leave it until tomorrow. Seriously.

ejclementine · 04/05/2015 13:01

Could be urine infection or passing a stone. No harm in seeing the doctor to nip any infection in the bud early.

toohardtothinkofaname · 04/05/2015 14:33

Spoke to EPU midwife & she says sounds non-pregnancy related & more likely tummy related (possibly constipation or IBS type stuff) but feels painful because of extra things going on down there. Mind more at ease so thank you for encouraging me to get it checked.
