Cosatto travel systems (and other ideas)

Hi all,

Headed to the baby show at the NEC on the 15th and looking to buy our travel system. The cosatto giggle 2 and woop have both caught my eye does anyone have any experience of these?

Looking for something reasonably priced (around £500 for the whole system) although if people think it's worth it we can go higher. Need something lightweight and compact (small house) that will fit in the boot of a VW Golf.

Thanks!

Babies r us are doing this pram plus the car seat for £387! We are really tempted, it's very easy to fold up and very light. I'm just not sure how long it will last. Great designs though!

I think the Cossato Giggle 2 looks amazing ... what put me off was the fact that they were recalled (last year?) due to the folding mechanism above the front wheel snapping and the whole thing collapsing.

I believe this is now sorted, but it was enough to put me off and im now the owner of a much plainer Uppababy Vista

The ones that were recalled were the old giggles. There is a new range out from beginning of this year

I have the giggle 2 - we needed something to fit in the back of a corsa and was under £500. I also have a back problem so needed something light and non faffy. I bought the set inc car seat at the baby show @ excel for £450 I think and this was back in January, I've seen the sets cheaper in store but the particular design we wanted (pitter patter) isn't/wasn't stocked by any of the high street chains. DS isn't due for another 5 weeks so I can't comment on using it out and about, but so far I've been impressed with the weight, manoeuvrability and the fact it comes with all the rain covers, footmuff etc so no hidden extras we needed to buy.

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after being recalled twice for the same issue!
Collapsing with you baby inside.! They apparently fixed the issue the first time but failed to do so and were recalled a second time...would you trust them?

We were tempted by the giggle 2 but dh didn't think it felt sturdy and I didn't like that it had 3 wheels... Looked very much like if could tip if going over bumps or down a kerb. We paid around £250 more and got the oyster2 - which I'm over the moon with!
Having said that, a good friend of mine has the cosatto giggle 2 and loves it...
