I'm 38+5 and yesterday I felt a bit groggy feeling like I'm coming down with something. Anyway I haven't slept all night. Been sweating like hell, worst headache ever, feeling dizzy, sore throat blocked nose. I really can't cope with this right now. Feel like I'm gunna break down. Is feeling like this going to affect my baby? I honestly can just about get out of bed to go to the toilet. Never felt this bad in my life. Do I have to let the midwife know? ConfusedConfused

Please call your labour Ward for advice right now. As you say, you are probably coming down with a cold, but if you have a head ache and dizziness at this stage of pregnancy you should get your blood pressure checked asap. X

I have heard getting flu like symptoms around your due date can mean you are about to go into labour, but I would definitely give the labour ward a call Just to make sure! Good luck

Try drinking lots of water, decaf tea or warmed ribena etc, also have some paracetamol. It's horrible feeling poorly when pg!

Hello. I'm nearly 7 wks pregnant. For the past 4 days I've lost a light pink fluid/blood. I'm so worried as in February I was pregnant with twins and miscarried with 1 and had a d&c with the other. I had sex the day before and convincing myself this is why. I get the odd ache off and on. Got a scan on EAU on Tuesday. Has this happened to anyone??

Gillian1980 · 02/05/2015 16:20

babs - sorry to hear about your previous losses.
You are doing all you can by getting checked out on Tuesday - I hope it all goes well.

You might get more replies from having a new thread as your question is likely to get lost as a reply on an unrelated post :)

Chickenfillets - I'd definitely get it checked out in case it's related to blood pressure etc.
colds are so horrid when you're pregnant and can't dose yourself up on meds.
Hope you feel better soon x

Thanks for the replies. Iv spent the day in bed resting an having naps and I feel 100% better. I think it was my body telling me I need to relax and rest as iv been constantly on the go for the past few weeks. Also a few people have told me now that it's a sign labour may be beginning. I hope this is the case, I need to meet my little man Smile
