When does morning sickness start?

5weeks 3days pregnant after 3 mcs and no morning sickness yet just a bit crampy down below and boobs a tiny bit sore. I'm paranoid given the recent events - anyone know when morning sickness should kick in I think I was just under 6 weeks with my DD? Xx

If you are lucky, hopefully never!

Mine was 5 weeks with my first and the 6/7 weeks with my current. Both turned to HG. Urrggh.

Absence of MS doesn't mean anything is wrong and every pregnancy is different.

Congratulations on your pregancy and fingers crossed for a vom free trimester for you!

Thank you that's really kind :) I had some nausea a few days ago but nothing since so I'm a bit stressed that I will have bad news again :(. Thanks xx

Hope you feel better soon. I was on the verge of HG with my dd I lost loads of weight that bit was great as I put three stone on in total so if it wasn't for that it might have been five lol :) xx

With dd my first pregnancy after a mc I never knew I was pregnant until I was 12 weeks. Had no nausea no sickness no anything at all. I did a pregnancy test to prove exp wrong when he was adamant I was pregnant. I was only ever sick with her if I had gone too long between meals I really had to eat little and often. With ds2 I had constant nausea from the second the sperm hit the egg knew right away I was pregnant and with ds2 no nausea or sickness at all or nausea ever.
Try not to panic every woman and every pregnancy is different.

Ahh, thank you! I'm 18 weeks now and thankfully it has all passed!

I found out at 4 weeks when I had one random puke and did a test. Then nothing until week 6/7 as I say. So loss of nausea is fairly common.

I'm working on the 10 or so weeks I've not been able to eat for now- I ate a whole pack of jammy dodgers today!

With your history you could push for an early reassurance scan I'm sure.

We are going next week for one but at a private clinic. The GP is crap/ couldnt get a RMc appointment (takes a year here atm) so had to go private to get help. Specialist put me on meds for this pregnancy and then booked in for scan next week. We cant afford it at all but its amazing where you can find money from when its for your baby. Last few trips to EPU over here were awful...waiting room is mixed with pregnancy further on, abortion clinics etc and the staff there know my first name and most come across patronising (but there are a couple of lovely ones). Last time I knew my dates and they said I had them wrong and why was I getting so worked up...DUH coz I know I am miscarrying you TWAT lol - sorry for the rant. Anyway, thats how I am justifying spending the money on meds and scans. If I get good news will put myself back in the NHS system. Ironically I was saying to my partner I really hope I get sick this time...where as with my daughter I was saying I bloody hope I never have this again - funny how things change. I have only been sick 3 times in my whole pregnancy, now 31+3.

Aww, bless you. (Sorry that sounds patronising!)

Totally understandable and I think you are doing 100% the right thing! Sounds like a completely righteous rant to me!

My first was such a surprise (I'd been told I'd never conceive naturally) we scrimped and saved for a private scan too! Early pregnancy anxiety is almost as bad as the sickness.

Hope everything goes brilliantly well for you at your scan and throughout the rest of your pregnancy- but I still hope you stay sickness free! (Well, maybe the odd reassuring tummy lurch )

Congrats! I'm 6wk1d from an ivf pregnancy and feel nothing so far, although my mouth keeps watering so I'm thinking it might progress to nausea soon

6/7 weeks for me. I'm not gonna lie, it was an awful time but started to ease off at 10 weeks and disappeared by 12. I just get gagging and vomiting from time to time (29 weeks now) but nowhere near as bad as the constant nausea.

Don't worry. You will get through it. Just don't plan anything too concrete in first 12 weeks as you may want the option to bail out.

Im just hoping my body doesnt F* it up again this time....fingers crossed lol. Im taking supplements, diet modification to include more protein and less sugar (veggie), meds, lost a stone before this preg...so if this doesnt work lol I might put my mind to running a marathon or something like that LOL (Im a big fatty so that would be fun).

I'm just approaching 6 weeks. I've had nausea all day for the last week but no actual sickness

Oops sorry just re-read your post and realised you are looking for sign of healthy pregnancy. My friend has had two babies recently and no MS for either.

An early pregnancy scan is reasurring. We had one at 8 weeks, was £80 well spent.

Good luck lovemylittlebear really hope it is a sticky bean for you. It sounds like you are doing all the right things and not your body's fault if it doesn't work out, so don't blame yourself. All babies are miracles and we should never take them for granted xx

Thankyou! My first scan is tue next week, have you had HCG checked? I'm on clexane, steroids and Prednisilone this time and I'm told the Pred can mask early preg symptoms x

oh Lauren83 thats made my day ...thanks :) Im on clexane, steroids and preds too and i didnt know they could mask symptoms. The injections have been a bitch but thank goodness Im fat lol ...I really hope your scan goes well next tues - mine is on weds. Not had HCG checked as did that last time and it was fine for first few rises but then still MC's and its £30 a time for the test so thought I would spend the money on the scan this time.

Babies are little miracles - looking at my little one now and no idea how we managed to make such a wonderful little girl :) very lucky indeed! xx

I didn't know either until someone on Fertility Friends told me, Google it, it's the pred that masks them im told. I have done about 30 tests no joke and this week paid for a beta as my digis were really late showing. Was £83 a time had one mon and one thu, my levels are low but they did rise so I'm nervous but trying to stay positive. So glad to have this scan. Make sure you let me know how you get on x

oh gosh thats quite expensive poor you but reassurance is worth it. i have been using CRGW in cardiff and their charges are less expensive then other clinics near to me. let me know how uou get on tuesday...fingers crossed for you xx

Try not to worry (really easy when you have had a loss I know) - I am 17 weeks and have never had morning sickness - not even so much as a hint of nausea. I was desperate for it in the early stages for reassurance but actually it doesn't prove that things are OK either so I just think myself lucky now that I have felt OK. In fact I have had no symptoms whatsoever until a bit of heartburn a week ago! Hope everything is fine for you, I'm sure it will be

I've never been sick and I'm 31+4. Had some nausea in the first tri but never actually vomited. I'd compare it to a mild hangover. I was very concerned as I had two previous losses but everything seems to be going well so far this time.

5 weeks is a bit early. For me it's been 7 weeks each time.

I've had two pregnancies and not been nauseous or vomited in any of of them, it just depends how your body reacts to the hormonal changes. Having said that I'm never sick either, it's been about twelve years or more since I last vomited.
