I have become a nervous wreck every time i feel a twinge i panic, i'm not feeling anything like as ill as i did with my 2 dds is this normal. Could it be twins? When should i tell people? We told everyone we were not having anymore after dd2 was born, sold all baby stuff got rid of the cot etc, then dh and i both got broody and thought what the hell! i don't know when to tell everyone as this will be a big shock, also paranoid all is not well. ramble, ramble

if twins MORE likely you would be feeling a lot worse than you did in previous pregnancies, not better!!!

tell people when you are ready.........maybe after the scan ? so that it is more real to people? when you can show them the picture, especailly if you were not going to have any more?

congratulations...hope you have a great pregnancy!

FWIW - i was paranoid about every twinge until my two were born practically!!!!!!!!!

Can you see your GP or a midwife to help put your mind at ease? Maybe you could get an early scan if you're really concerned?

I should hold off telling people until you're not worrying anymore though, unless it's a very close friend/family member who you feel comfortable with.

Good luck and I hope all turns out well

Well, you know the old wives tale - you are less sick with a boy than with a girl... TBH - every preg is so different it is hard when you start comparing them. By the time I got to my third pregnancy, I had almost forgotten what my first was like, I sort of remembered being ill a bit but nothing major so the bad nausea with the last pregnancy took me by surprise. I'm sure everything is fine with you and that you'll be feeling pregnant (and complaning about it ) before you know it. Congratulations btw.

thanks, don't know why i am so worried this time as my other 2 pregnancys were fine.
i wonder if it is because i feel that i am pushing my luck because i already have 2 healthy dds.

I have just found out that I am Pregnant with no 3. Also very nervous, have not told a soul except dh. I have one ds6 and one dd3 (with 2 early m/c in between), don't think anyone is expecting us to have a third. With ds I felt completely nauseous from about week 6 to 13, with dd sickness did not kick in until about 8.5 weeks and I then threw up every day until week 26!!

Only feel slightly nauseous at the mo, and v tired. I am sure this will change. Think every pregnancy can be completely different. Wishing you lots of luck.

Congrats!
Me too cutiebabies, can't wait to do it all again. I also get the light headedness, perhaps it is just better to stay sitting!! Still a bit apprehensive at this early stage, but am focusing on being positive and am looking forward to seeing how this pregnancy progresses. xx

Hiya am a bit further along than you, but know how you feel i have 2 dds (3&5), and am 33 weeks preg with no 3 i am still paranoid about every thing being ok, even though i am only weeks away!! I was worried how people would react too, think 3 seems quite a lot these days, but to be honest everyone was brill this time, almost i would say more excited than with the 1st 2!! any way just wanted to say good luck and keep us up to date with your progress!! xx xx

helenmumof2 · 06/11/2006 21:07

i'm sure everything will be ok but it's still a big relief to get the first scan out of the way if only for the reassurance that there is only one in there!
