I have the gtt test at 28 weeks, four days before I'm due to fly on holiday for a week. How quickly do the blood test results come back (is it instant?!) and will I be allowed to fly/ go on holiday if I have diabetes? I'm concerned the midwife may not do my 'fit to fly

no complications' note for British Airways to let me fly?! I've asked the hospital to bring the test forward but they refuse to as apparently 28 weeks is their protocol for the test, no exceptions allowed...
