35+2 with first dc and have just discovered a big thick bit of mucous in my underwear. Is this a show? Or is a show more obvious than this? There is no blood. Thanks for your help.

Don't know 2015 but I suppose it wouldn't be your waters and a bit of birth canal gunk? Maybe give your MWs a call as they may want to check you. Good luck all plugged and unplugged pregnant mothers here!

PS. nottheOP has summed mine up well, although I only had one 'bit'.

2015 , I think that sounds like it.

Well not more than half an hour after id posted the question my waters went in spectacular gushing fashion.....so much for "don't expect a big puddle like you see in the movies" I had loads!! Poor DH! Now sat in the delivery suite waiting to be checked....and STILL leaking!

My Show was massive for first DC. Id say 6cm diametre and with dark blood it couldn't be mistaken. My second DC I didn't have anything ! So Im sure there are roads in the middle ... Good luck ! And good luck 2015is so exciting !x

yeah i think it has partially come away but not completely, as you describe littlefrenchmummy and how others have described, it wasnt huge or blood stained.

i spoke to a midwife today at an antenatal class and she said not to panic its very normal to have it partially come away weeks before labour.

i have been having transient period pains and back ache for a few days. can't decide whether to be concerned Confused
