I'm 38 weeks and have just been and got some evening primrose capsules as id like to get this moving. Iv bought the 1000mg ones.
How many should I take and how many do I insert?
Also how do I know if iv instead them high enough? I know your supposed to put them near your cervix but I don't even know how to feel for that Hmm
Any help please.

I put one in at 39 weeks and got my first show the next day. Did another the next night and waters went the day after that. No idea if it was coincidence or not!!! I've had some issues with my cervix and wanted to try and soften it. I just put one in, pushed it in like a tampon, you don't need to go nuts! I also took 2 a day orally from 38 weeks. Be warned o have read that inserting them vaginally can be an infection risk. I was huge and fed up so I went for it but it is something to consider!!!

Thanks BanKimoon
I think I'll just take one and insert one for now then.

I inserted 2 a night for about 2 weeks, it didn't make me go into labour but when I was in labour it was very quick 1hr 12mins and no stitches so not sure if I can say it worked or not

I started these once I was overdue and desperate. I couldn't being myself to insert but I took 2 a day a a went into labour on the 4th day. It could be coincidence as I was overdue but had shown zero sign of movement until I started the evening primrose. Good luck Grin
