Hi,

I am unsure if this is just a normal pregnancy symptom or something I should be more concerned about.

I am 14+5 and I have had a headache on and off for 2 weeks. I can wake up in the morning with a headache and it can last to a more or lesser extent all day or it may go away completey by 11am.

I am trying to stay well hydrated and eat regularly in case either is the cause but there is no clear improvement (except spending all day in the loo).

I am also under quite a bit of stress at the moment as my mum has cancer (treatable but requires major surgery) and my FIL has cancer (is terminal and currently has 6mths).

Work policy means I must use a/l which I was hoping to save to get a bit of respite from everything.

DH is being brilliant but I am very aware I need to support him and I am only doing half a job with mum because I need to apply for annual leave to attend her appointments. My Dad is deaf so not much use and English is his second language so he doesn't really understand any medical jargon unless I am there to explain it to him.

Mum's nurse is fantastic and keeps me informed. I'm looking forward to seeing her next week.

Any thoughts or advice would be welcomed

xxx

Worth mentioning it to your GP and getting your blood pressure checked, as high bp can cause headaches. Also the change in hormones can do the same, I had what felt like a permanent headache until partly into the second trimester.

Sorry about your Mum and FIL, stress can definitely cause headaches.
