Hi All!

So I know you must have had to answer these soooo many times but.....

Im 8 weeks and I dont think I have ever felt this poorly (I am aware that sounds dramatic) I genuinely feel like I have the flu. Achy body, extreme tiredness (in bed by 7pm each night) and burning up at night with a temperature to the point I start talking utter rubbish. I feel sick all day and am being sick in the morning too (but this part I expected). I just want to cry.

I was expecting to feel tired and sick, but this is another level....

Any remedies also welcome :-)

Your Dr can give you tablets for your morning sickness, I really think you should try to get an appointment because you sound quite poorly.
Do you mean you feel hot, like hot flushes, or do you actually have a temperature? Cos if you actually have a high temperature on a thermometer that's not very good for the baby and you could actually have flu or something you need antibiotics for, so it's worth getting checked out.
Hope you feel better soon, I did find my sickness was worst around 8-9 weeks but the tablet do help.

I have some same symptoms as you tired hot as hell and sick plus head aches I went to the docs this morning abd was told is was a viral infection but he wouldnt give me any antibiotics! He said come back if it gets worse but get checked out just incase x

It sounds like you have a virus rather than early pregnancy symptoms as you sound very poorly! Go to the doctors and make sure.

I managed to combine morning sickness with stomach 'flu and as I'm pregnant with my first, I had no idea. I finally thought to take my temperature and realised that at least some of my symptoms were 'flu. If you do have a temperature, get a GP appointment! I was advised to take paracetamol to get my temperature down. I couldn't keep paracetamol tablets down due to vomiting, but found that 6+ Calpol was ok. I also couldn't keep water down and was getting dehydrated from the temperature and vomiting. I was told that it's easier to keep coca cola or other energy drinks down than water and that they'd do me more good.

The extreme tiredness and sickness are normal but I'd say that the high temperature might indicate an infection. I'd go to the GP. I also had morning sickness but it eased loads at 12 weeks.
