Weird bump lumps!

I was applying some moisturiser yesterday, when I felt two small, hard, marble-sized lumps to the left side of my bump slightly above the level of my belly button and then around vertically level with my left boob. I'm 24+5.

They may well have always been there, but I only noticed them yesterday. They're not painful and I've had no adverse symptoms, but I'm just wondering what they could be? I initially thought it might be baby, but now I'm sure it's not as he's fairly active and spent the majority of last night kicking me in the right side, whereas these have stayed in the same place on the left. I'm now convinced it's a bit of my intestine or other internal organ which has been squished up to accommodate the baby.

Any ideas? I have an antenatal GP appointment on Weds and I'll mention it then, but in the meantime- is it something I should be worried about and maybe get checked out sooner? Or will it be OK to wait?

If you massage them do they reduce/go away? It may be a hernia
I had a weird bum under my belly button this week. I phoned midwife and she was very keen for me to see a GP.
Turns out it's a hernia (hence it goes away if I massage it, but then it quickly comes out again!). It may be worth phoning midwife today just to ask their opinion. It is probably nothing major, but I'd ask their opinion.

Ah, that sounds like it could be it! When I pressed it, it sort of disappeared for a while but then popped out again.

Is a hernia anything to be worried about? Would it need treatment, or is it something which will disappear of its own accord?

I was told by doctor that it was nothing at all to worry about in terms of the baby (so that's good!).

He said that it may or may not disappear post-birth. He said I had a weakness in stomach wall which has been exposed by growing bump. He seemed to think it was very 50/50 as to whether it would disappear after the birth.
If not it would require a hernia op :-(

I think, be prepared for it to get worse as your bum grows, but hopeful that it will disappear afterwards. One things is certain, they won't do anything about it while you are still pregnant.

Importantly, I was told that if it became very painful at any point or if I couldn't poo (sorry!) to go straight to hospital.

Oops - I meant "bump" not "bum"!

boatrace God only knows that's growing at an equally alarming rate to my bump!
