back to back anxiety for second time... any positive stories?

Had a fairly excruciating b2b delivery first time round. This baba has been all perfectly positioned up until today - now days of due date, so no time to do a lot of exercises (these didn't work last time despite early warning, so dubious anyway).

Any positive stories out there of last minute turning OR less painful second b2b deliveries?

Thanks

I don't have anything really helpful, but if the baby is back to back now, it doesn't necessarily mean it will stay that way. My second was back to back, but he only switched into that position during the birth, so I was unprepared. It was painful, but ok in the end (the fact that he was my second helped). They can even swivel again to come through the birth canal. So keep thinking positive, it will be easier anyway if it's your second, and there's a good chance it will change position a few more times.

I had a relatively Ok first b2b birth, wasn't hugely painful but it was tiring being upright for most of the labour.

Second time around was b2b but a lovely relaxed homebirth, less pain than first time, much more manageable. I did have very slow dilation, and then very fast dilation again but the TENs helped a lot. G&A kept me relaxed. DS turned inside my pelvis just before being born, but that was the most painful part (and the cervical lip), the actual pushing was almost painless.

No1 went btb in labour. Horrendous time of it.

No2 went btb in labour. Lovely relaxed calm quick home water birth. So much more manageable, so much more in control. No worry, no panic, no interventions.

My first was b2b and it was hellish.

Second swung about a lot but started labour in perfect position and stayed there. It was a completely different experience. Contractions felt different and much less painful and delivery much easier.

Both mine were b2b but I didn't find out until after I'd delivered dd1. Dd2 I was prepared in advance which to be honest made me more anxious knowing. Labour was 10 hours faster than dd1 and I didn't have an epidural where I did with dd1 so can't have been as painful (unless I toughened up lol).
Good luck, try not to worry too much x

5 back to back babies for me. The first was truly horrendous! The rest very manageable. Only ever used G&A. Nothing with 2 of them.

Don't over think it. The baby could move & if she doesnt it's not the end of the world.

Good luck!

I had a very long painful b2b labour with ds1 and now 29 weeks pregnant with dc2 so know how you feel! fingers crossed it will be easier for us both this time round!

My DC3 was b2b, they only realised when her head was out that she was facing the wrong way. Was only 3 hour labour, gas and air and born in the water, probably my most relaxed and favourite birth.

Ds2 was back to back but it was unknown until they finally managed to get his out out, labour was awful and painful and I wasnt allowed to move from the bed, he was stuck for a while then and needed assisted delivery. Worst labour out of all 4 of them.

I had ds4 13 days ago, again wasnt told he was back to back until labour, I went in with pains less then 3 mins apart and was 5cm they gave me a quick scan just to make sure babys head was definitely down as he was pre term at 34 weeks so she said can be hard to tell early, she then informed me baby was head down but he was back to back. I was 5cm at 9am and he was born at 1pm the pain was fine, nothing like ds2s and I was pushing around 7 mins. Not sure if its cause he was pre term though and smaller then ds2 but my friend also had 2 btb births second one been fine.

Good luck :)
