mucus confusion

hi ladies.
i have losing browny reddy discharge. been checked over cervix is intact but apparently you can still lose slight plug with closed cervix.
anyway, can anyone enlighten me. what's the difference between mucus plug discharge and cervical erosion discharge?

In my experience, mainly timing, and the fact that if it's your plug and is coming away you get a lot more semi solid mucus, rather than just smears.
