Hi,

Soon to have our third and wondering how/where to meet other mums in a similar situation?

We no longer live where we had the other two no not sure what is around here but not sure how to find out.

Don't want to do any courses, antenatal classes or refresher things etc....

How old are your others? TBH I found that I couldn't do much because of the other time commitments. And didn't often want to spend two hours talking sleep with ftms.

What are you after?

I was about to suggest an NCT refresher but I see you've ruled that out.
How old are your other children? If at school, can you ask around in the playground for tips on any local groups or see if any of the other mums ate pregnant & make a beeline for them.

Might be worth seeking out your local NCT branch. Ours run bumps and babies and stay and play sessions which you don't have to be a member or gone to the antenatal classes to attend. And you can take your older children with you too to some sessions.

Alternatively classes like baby massage and baby sensory are good to meet mums with babies a similar age to your own.

Stay & Play at Children's Centres
Rhyme Time at library
Churches often have baby/toddler groups

Are you ruling out all classes? Only because I think it's easier to build relationships if you see them every Monday for 6w or whatever, so something like baby massage / sensory etc would work quite well. The problem with dtop in groups is people will dip in and out so it might take quite a long time to get beyond the polite smiling stage!

Hello,

One is at school and the other is at pre-school 2 days a week.

Yeah maybe a class......

I dunno really what i am after really it is a tough one cos i won't have much time really but it would be nice to not be alone being the only one just had a new baby but i also don't want to talk feeding, sleep etc like you say penguins.....
