Nervous about scan

Hi Ladies,

I have my 20 week scan in a couple of weeks and for some reason I am so nervous! I had my last scan at 14 weeks (everything was fine), heard baby's heartbeat at 16 week midwife appointment, again everything was normal. I think It may just be down to it being the scan where they check for defects etc and sort of the last time you'll see baby before it's born. Also I had a mmc last year and didn't find out until 12 week scan so every time I have a scan coming up I get so anxious.

I know I'm probably just worrying for nothing and baby is fine! Someone please tell me I'm being silly! :)

I don't think you are being silly at all. Some worrying is totally normal! I am feeling incredibly worried/anxious for my 20 wk scan in over 3 weeks too. I am picturing all kinds of negative outcomes. I haven't really accepted the pregnancy yet. I was the same with my dd but with her I was part of some research and had scans at 24.28,32,36 as well which eased my worries! My 20 wk appt is right at the end of the day too .. Booo!
Fingers crossed everything will be fine. Try not to worry, easier said than done. I'm in the frame of mind that I can't change anything anyway so why worry so much. X

Definitely easier said than done but yes you are right, I can't change the outcome whatever happens. Mine is at the end of the day too! Think it's going to be a long day!

Perfectly normal. I get anxious before every scan. I'm 18 weeks and I've had 4 of them! Just started feeling some movement which is reassuring
